        Hey everyone,

I’m dealing with a **nightmare** situation with **Kotak Bank** right now, and their customer support is completely useless. My **Kotak 811 account** has been **frozen** due to some so-called **“TXN PATTERN ANOMALY”**, and despite following all their instructions, I’m still **stuck with no resolution**.

I need advice on how to escalate this further because Kotak is **either ignoring my emails or sending irrelevant responses**.

        # Timeline of Events

        * **Feb 9, 2025** – Raised a complaint on the Kotak Bank portal after finding my **Kotak 811 account was blocked**.
        * **Feb 10** – Got a message from Kotak:*“Dear customer, your Kotak811 a/c XXXX2905 is blocked as your transactions are not in line with your profile. To start unblocking, visit: [link]”* ✅ **Completed the verification process** (via **DigiLocker** and submitted my **office ID card**).
        * **Feb 11** – Got an **on-call verification** from a Kotak executive who said my account **would be activated soon**.
        * **Feb 12** – Another call from a **local agent** for **home verification**, but I wasn’t home.
        * Called him back and provided an **alternate location**, and he said he’d visit but **never showed up**.
        * **Feb 15** – Kotak replied to my **first complaint**, saying:*“We have highlighted this concern to our relevant team to get it checked at the earliest.”*
        * **Feb 19** – Followed up via **email**.
        * **Feb 23** – Got a response:*“We have forwarded your concern to our team. In this case, we request you to visit the branch.”*
        * **Feb 27** – **Visited my branch** and submitted a request letter + **Aadhar card** for unblocking.
        * **Made to wait 10 minutes** due to a server issue, then told to return later.
        * **Returned after an hour**, met **Transaction Supervisor**, who took my request and **discussed it with his team for 20-30 minutes**.
        * **Final response from the branch:** *”Your service request is permanently closed, so we cannot proceed right now.”* 😡
        * The branch **tried calling the backend team**, but **no one answered**.
        * *”We cannot accept your unblocking request at this moment.”* 🤬
        * **Feb 27 (Evening)** – Sent a detailed email explaining everything.
        * **Feb 28 (Today)** – Kotak **completely misunderstood** my email and **responded about a Chargeback Request instead!**
        * Their exact response:*“Regarding the concerns raised by you for Chargeback Request… We apologize for the inconvenience caused… We have highlighted this to our specialized division.”*
        * Immediately replied again, **clarifying that my actual request is for unblocking my account**, NOT a chargeback.

        # Need Advice on Next Steps

I am **done wasting time** with Kotak’s useless support.

        1. **Should I directly file an RBI CMS complaint now, or wait for 30 days?**
        2. **Is CPGRAMS or DPG worth trying for this kind of issue?**
        3. **Any way to force Kotak to take action instead of running in circles?**
        4. **They seem to be deliberately ignoring my emails—any tips on escalation?**

Would really appreciate any **advice from anyone who has dealt with Kotak on similar issues**! Thanks in advance.
