Multiple people got laid off in last 2 years and many are unable to find jobs, majority of them took a pay cut. Some of them who were married with a non working wife, had to shift to cheaper places, what will happen if they undergo divorce? Can the court ask the husband to find jobs costing 60lpa just becuase husband had that job in past?

Court won’t ask husband to find a job of certain income level. It will simply pass orders and then husband has to figure out how to fulfil the obligations under that court order or risk contempt proceedings.

It will be years by the time the court passes he order. You won’t be jobless till then. It will be based on your earnings that time and dozens of other factors.
