February 21, 2025 at 1:52 amHi Guys, My father had bought some land outside Yehlankha, when he was posted here in 2008-2009, In 2013 some relative of the original owner which sold the land filed a land dispute case on the owner that he was not paid in full. The Case has been filled on 44 plots which were sold, some to the the villagers and some to people like us from nearby airforce camp or outsiders. He is demanding 5 lakhs from each plot, we had negotiated and come down to 3 lakh. But, this feels like a scam, is there no way I can build there, If you have faced something similar or have any tips on how do you resolve this, or should I just pay the 3 lakhs? The Person that sold use the land assuers us it’s a bogus case and we see it on the portal that the case is just at evidence gathering stage for a long time.

February 21, 2025 at 6:14 amIt’s standard in Bangalore. These are professionals and 100% fake cases. That guy would be a descendant of original owner some 60…70 years back. Their intention is not a win the case but simply make some money doing nothing.
They will never attend a single hearing in court and simply drag the case.Either fight the case for next 10+ years or pay 3L and sell the plot.
This is very very common in Bangalore.

March 28, 2025 at 10:26 amWe want to build on the land, since we have no place to go, is there no other way, yes it’s as you said , they have not attended a single hearing, is there no way to negotiate this down, maybe put pressure on the original owners son or file an injunction suite?
