March 30, 2025 at 5:39 pmWe are five families from the very own village of the highly political people of amara raja. In the name of rajanna trust, they have purchased the lands which are surrounding our lands and built a compound wall, blocking our access to our own property. They have also partly made construction in one of our land. For decades, we have used the lands of other farmers that surrounds our land as a pathway to reach our fields. Additionally, the trust has closed off government-designated waterchannelst that pass through our lands, and we have also used them as pathways.
We are now completely cut off from our land. This has been going on for a decade, and false cases have been filed against us whenever we fight for our rightsโjust as one might expect from politicians in India. The local lawyers have been of no help either.
Recently, we brought our issue before the district collector, but he simply stated that these people are in power and could easily have him transferred if he raised the issue. The district collector said this after verifying all the land records and I don’t know what to do now.
What if they tamper the records and claim our lands too in the future if we stop taking any actions. This has been done by them in the past by them. What legal options do we have to reclaim our land. It is not affordable for me to even spend 5k or 10k to consultant a good lawyer for an opinion on how to go forward. I’m willing to take an appointment if any lawyer (preferably who knows telugu) wants to know further details to give their opinion.

March 30, 2025 at 8:03 pmHi, Iโm a lawyer, but not your lawyer, so please take advice from a lawyer who has seen all the relevant documents too.Look up easement rights in your property. File a petition in your local court to enforce those rights. Make sure you file certified copies of all original property documents so that you can sheets reference those documents later, if required (since you say they might tamper with records). If the petition is dismissed for no good legal reason, such as if they bribe a judge, appeal in your stateโs high court. Also make sure you ask that they be restricted from blocking your access to the land.

March 30, 2025 at 10:06 pmYou don’t even have 10k to spend on a lawyer, and you’re fighting someone with immense political and industrial power. Sell off the land and get whatever you can. You can’t really blame the system when you are not really even putting up a fight. A smart person pick and chooses their battles, and this battle is not worth fighting anymore. Or go try to find a connection with YSRCP leaders, probably they can fight for you. But they’ll also drop you the moment they get what they want, which is political chaos. -

March 31, 2025 at 7:54 amFrankly, if 5-10 k is too much to afford then you should offer the land to Amara Raja and take your exit. It’s best for your mental and financial health. Choose pragmatism over idealism. -

March 31, 2025 at 1:56 pmIf you are farmer then contact various farmers organisations in your state. Also make use of social media get some local journalist and make this viral , tag your CM and all opposition parties. Make this a poor farmer vs corporate fight on social media. Reach out to influential social media influencers like Humans of Bombay and make it viral. This will be enough for your state ruling party to back off , no one wants to mess with farmers these days.
