        Hello,
I’m moving to Bangalore this month with family. I have found an apartment to stay and I have already shared my Aadhaar card and Employee ID card with him, but he is asking for my PAN card copy. I’m not sure why they need my pan card copy.
        1. Why he is asking PAN card?
        2. Is it safe to share with him?

          Chill!

Eventually you will also end up asking his/hers due to taxation and rent receipts.

          Sharing PAN is safe.

Not entirely sure, but it is best not to share PAN info. Using Tax filing software you can fetch someone’s entire financial report due to ITR. Do ask him what is the need for PAN information and if he would share his PAN card if the rent amount is greater than 8k.

Tell him you’ll share only when he shares his PAN first.
