Tldr : owner deposited 10k/44k deposit and refuses to give back rest.
        I have given the keys.
And i threated them with FIR and they said do whatever you want.
Owners are from different state than NCR.

        Hey all,

I am writing this post after losing my sleep for 2 nights.
My landlord where i was residing for 11 months in NCR is refusing to give me all of my deposit and i feel restless like someone stole my hard earned money.

        Here is the story,
I was living on rent for 11 months, my lease was to expire on 2/28/2025.
I notified on 9th of jan that i will vacate my flat.
I vacated the flat on 1st march.

On the day of vacating i cleaned the home by myself (basic jhadu pocha)

Here is the message i got from owner after giving the keys to broker.

14k for furniture use : it was semi furnished flat and owner had left some of the furniture bed and fridge.
It was never in lease and never mentioned that there is fees for it.

9k for late notice : he said i notified on 9th that i will vacate the flat. Even though the lease was ending on the same day and they never mentioned there will be late fees throughout the notice period.

5k cleaning : their balcony is dusty since the place is dusty so that they are alledging and also their one balcony was closed and was used as temple by then. Since i could not maintain that temple(my mom says if you cannot pray everyday, dont keep the gods in bad place) there were my boxes and everything in that closed lobby.
2k for their chinney service .
5k for repaint : i have not damaged their paint and it is only been a year still they claim the amount.

These are rough estimates as i have that message in my phone.
But out of 44k they returned me 10k like i was a begger of some sort. I just had a surgery a month ago so i had people coming over they claim that i was living alone but had people always.

I honestly am just feeling so angry yet betrayed, i corporated with them until the end and am begging for my own money.

I told the wife (landlord) that i will do FIR, she said do whatever you want.
They both are from bengal, so i would either fir here or there.

I am here to seek professional help on what i can do and just rant on such spineless people.

I curse beggars like them get the karma and deserve worse treatment than what i got.
I am chasing the broker to get this resolved or i will pursue them legally.

                Dont try to chase legally.

You will end up spending more money and wait so many years. For 34k, its not worth the fight.
