Landlord took 30k (Half of which he took in cash) Gave me a cheaper room with a roommate which costed 10k
He is not picking up my calls and not giving me back the remaining amount (20k)
My roommate has the same problem.

It has been 20 days since my eviction.

What will he be charged with?

You can first go to his place and ask, if it doesn’t resolve just go ahead and file a complaint police will deal with it. In background make sure you have a lawyer to fallback just in case if required.

You need to send a legal notice. It’s a civil case. The police will not do anything.
