curious to understand if there are any laws around Gift cards in India. I tried to do some research, but couldn’t find much.

Context: I got a gift card from Decathlon. Now its for an amount that I paid. When i tried to redeem them the store manager told me its expired and can’t use. Now this looks like a little exploitive way for big corporations to take advantage of the people. Im wondering if there are any laws around this? For example, during my research i read that australia have a minimum 3 year expiry enforced. Wondering if we have something similar

When did you purchase the gift card?
If it’s been more than a year, then IMO, it’s been a significant amount of time for the card to expire. Although, I would check once on the Decathlon website to see their T&C. Maybe they have some clause in it.
