DSo I was riding on my bike wearing helmet, no over-speeding nothing just following rules and riding peacefully. Then at a junction, when the signal was green, I was taking a right turn with a speed of below 30kmph. I knew our citizens lack civic sense so i was riding slow. I was still at the junction taking right turn, all of a sudden a lawyer riding without helmet rushed towards me. He didn’t wait for the signal to go green at his end. He rushed towards me a speed of 50 kmph so I verbally abused him. His ego got hurt and stopped me and slapped me by saying “you don’t know how to behave with a lawyer” come to station he threatened. I controlled my anger and didn’t hit him back neither I said anything to him thinking of something bad happens as he is a lawyer and I might drag my family into this if anything goes wrong. So I just kept quiet and left the place thinking of my family. People around me also told me that let it go.. he is a lawyer.. Don’t get into trouble unnecessarily.
So if I encounter a situation like this in future, can I hit him back??
I work in smart city.. I can get CCTV footages of him riding without helmet, breaking the signal etc. But I can’t get the footage of him slapping me as the cameras were little bit far away from the spot.
I want to let this go for my family. I am scared not because of him but for my family.
I was just wondering how these lawyers can act like this with common people.

DHe was wearing lawyer uniform. It was morning I wasn’t much stressed so I let go this time. In future I might not be in the same mood and I might not control my anger like I did today. So if I hit back anyone next time when I am in this situation. Will I be in trouble?

YHappened to my close friend too, in his case it was 2 rich guys who T boned his bike. He was in a lot of distress after the incident. Don’t listen to these fools here whining about filing complains. Unfortunately we can’t do anything unless we are rich or have connections. You did the right thing.

DYes bro I am scared for my family not that clown. I can get my boys and make his life miserable. But this time I will move thinking one day he will have his karma. Next time I don’t know if I will be this patient towards the opposite person.

FInstead of violence, your biggest weapon is evidence and the power of social media. Take a video of the incident, note the vehicle number, and narrate the incident. Post it to relevant authorities.

MSo he is supposed to go into the past to take this video? Or is a normal law abiding citizen just expected to have a video cam or go pro on them always turned on? Do you realize the split seconds in which these things happen that doesn’t give anyone time to even take their phones out and record.

He can always narrate the incident and post it, and get cctv footage from authorities. For the future have a dashcam in his car. He was wondering if hitting back would be fine next time, No. Violence will always lead to worse outcomes.

RIf you have proofs (or even no proofs) talk to another serious lawyer, file a FIR or a complaint case in local court and witness the long progress of law…..
It May not achieve anything, but the way judicial queries will be asked on possible misconducts and demeanours will stress this guy out and you can watch the show and enjoy.
But yet again whom are we talking to and where – so if you can just muscle around, you can give fitting response then and there.
Btw, dont worry about family etc . Typically low key uncouth guys have no guts to do anything except for spewing venoms here & there unceremoniously

HI’ve seen many lawyers like this bro. Recently, I was at a chaat shop around 10:30 PM. A law student came and asked the shopkeeper if there’s any nearby shop selling Coke or Pepsi. Then he asked where he could get cigarettes. The shopkeeper said, “It’s 10:30, no shops will be open now.”
After that, he ordered some chaat. The owner packed it in a silver foil box, but he suddenly said it’s not healthy and asked for paper with banana leaf instead. I just told him, “You’re okay with Coke and cigarettes but worried about foil box?” He didn’t reply, just told the owner to pack and left. I noticed he was a law student from the sticker on his bike.
In your case, if I was there, I would’ve asked — where’s your helmet, and how can you slap me first? I’d have taken him to the police station. Just being a lawyer doesn’t give anyone the right to hit. You stayed calm for your family, and that’s really respectful.

Please understand no one is above the law, which includes the very people who work around it.That being said, it was smart on your part not to retaliate. Not because he is a lawyer. You saved yourself the trouble of stepping into a legal battle.
A country where courts are overburdened with cases day after day, it would have taken you at least half a decade to prove your innocence.
People with power stay calm and wield it only when the situation demands it. The fact that he was throwing off his air goes to show he is one of those countless/ faceless entities of the judiciary system.
Get a body cam or those that fit in your helmet next time you are out driving. It will save you a lot of trouble, even from policemen who try to scam you with a wrong signal entry.
If you still seek vengeance, find out this lawyer’s vehicle and slash his tyres to the point where it has to be replaced.
Tyre replacements are pretty pricey.Now calm down. Breathe deep. Don’t overthink on it. Stay happy and go with the gift of your life.

If he was a real attorney, he would have known that slapping you infront of CCTVs would ruin his carrer and life. He would have simply kept his cool. Just file a complaint. He can’t do shit.

MFirst of all, whatever you called him, it didn’t give him any right to slap you and Secondly all lawyers and advocates are civilians, they are not above the law nor do they enjoy any special privileges higher than a common man. If you were slapped, you could have either retaliated right there by hitting him in return and claim it was done in self defence as he was the one who initiated it. Secondly, if you did not want to retaliate to his slap at the road, you could have filmed a video after being slapped that this guy claims he’s an advocate, and he slapped you and then call the police to the spot where this incidence took place but at the end of the day if you have no witness or cctv cameras to prove that you were assaulted, then it’s your word against his and he is very likely to be held not guilty as criminal law requires a burden of proof which is beyond reasonable doubt. Lastly, let me tell you that KARMA IS REAL, and what he did to you and how it made you feel, he will suffer the same powerlessness and humiliation or even worse, what is more important is that you forgive him completely, because firstly he is acting from ego and arrogance and does not know that his actions like these will lead to his own doom and Secondly, I am asking you to forgive him for three reasons, firstly forgiving someone for what they did to you makes you free from the trauma they inflicted on you and makes you move on in life completely unaffected, Secondly, you may forgive him but the Universe doesn’t and he will learn his life lesson sooner or later by some other person who will assault him in a similar manner and thirdly but most importantly, it is very important that you forgive him completely because if you don’t, in your next life, you will be the aggressor and he will be the victim and this role reversal cycle will continue till perpetuity until one of you just forgives the other and refuses to retaliate and forgives the other. Please realize you are a divine and godly being and being slapped by anyone doesn’t make you small or insignificant. Lastly, forgive yourself also, many of us don’t know our past lives and the actions we committed in those lives, so think of it as your karma being resolved in light of this experience, do not put yourself in a victim mode. EJust read Two news today how we Indian do not have any right in our own country.
If I was in your place I will also keep my mouth shut and move on because I know he is lawyer and can drag me to court where I will spend money and 20 Years to get justice for a simple thing.

ABro I am a lawyer too & lawyers are not above law
Don’t get scared of long legal battle or anything
Fight for this injustice as fault wasn’t yours
People like these haven’t actually studied law they just get bogus degree & get license
I am a lawyer too & undoubtedly lawyers have over confidence as they know the law & police dont mess with us
But dont get trapped in this as at last court judge & evidence will decide & again said lawyer is no above law
So if u can make any spectator as witness file case
Don’t think he will drag your family & all you too have right to destroy his life legally
You need to lower his fake ego

EDon’t mess up with a lawyer. Will make your life hell by filing cases (even false/fake). If you’re rich, can hire a good lawyer to take care of everything and have enough free time, only then go ahead with filing a complaint.

When we do , its best to keep our cool and assess the situation. best if it can be descalated.Great that you have moved on..

NSimilar things have happened to me many times. Let me give you an example from one time, exactly like yours. I was stopped on the side of the road with my scooty, when a guy on a bike came and cut very sharply right beside me. So I said, “Kya kar raha hai bhai, pagal hai kya?”
Then he got off his bike and slapped me twice. I looked him up and down, laughed, and said, ‘Have a nice day, friend.’
After this, I waited and observed. Using his number plate, I found out his name, address, and all his details. And whenever I got the time, I followed him and tracked everything about him.
6 months later, one night, he was returning home late on his bike. Finding a perfect spot, I hit him with a stick and knocked him off his moving bike. The poor fellow was injured, lying on the street. Then, with the same stick, I broke both his legs.
I was wearing a black helmet. Anyway, he didn’t get a chance to see me .. I did everything so fast. For 2 months after that, I kept track of all things about him. He filed a police report, but I did the job so cleanly that nothing could be found out.
Now he is almost disabled, can barely walk, and cannot ride a bike.. & the moral is :-it’s a made-up story.. purely fictional don’t worry. Thanks for reading.

But next time if some chapri lawyer hits you, hit him double back. He is nothing outside courtroom. Yes he may have contacts with police officers because of day-to-day business chores, which may affect you, but otherwise he can do nothing!
The fact that he is riding a bike-believe me he is small time lawyer probably assistant to a big lawyer/law firm who does liaisoning work for his/firm.
If a lawyer has white hair and is moving in a very expensive vehicle with a driver, take special caution because firstly he will never get involved in such a situation, and second if he has to, he will make your life hell.
