Umy sister is 16 yo, she has a female friend who is also the same age. they study in the same school. its a coed school. there is a teacher, (Anthony sir), this guy, texts her friends in a very explicit manner. she has shown me the chats. The guy asks for “sexy photos” from the girl. At school also i have seen the guy mostly hangs around girls flirting with them. He plays truth and dare with the girl and he asks questions like “do you like me” and “are you a virgin”. I think he is a paedophile. the girl is too scared to report to the police. other girls of her school also know about this guy, but i think they are also too afraid and dont know what to do since they are teens.
as a big brother, i want to take actions. I am 17 and i want to file a case on this teacher. how can i do so in India. is there any possibility of anonymously reporting him to the police or something like that. so i dont get in between this and the teacher gets arrested? help me. if any lawyer or police officer is seeing this:-

UThat’s kinda impossible. Criminal laws have the principle of locus standi, which means the victim will have to file it herself. Or maybe ask an NGO to file a general hard ask complaint against the teacher.

UThen the best case scenario is to confront him directly and say that you have the chats of all the people he has done this with, even if you only have one person’s. Tell him to mend his ways or you’re going to the cops. That should scare him straight.

UYou can do an anonymous complaint to police but those rarely work.
Since police also needs evidence to be able to prosecute a crime and take it to court. For better or worse that job of initial factory finding is yours.
In this case you can just ask your sister and her friend to ask around in the friend circle and gather evidence in terms of screen shots or testimony from people. You can compile that and file a complaint against the police station and due to current good Samaritan laws you may be able to safeguard your identity.

Ui dont want my name to drag on this, i have all chats of him asking for nudes and photos. no girl wants to come up either, they are too scared that there parents will change their school and break their friend circle. if i file a case and my name is called or the guy finds out that it was me who did the complain, i will probably get beaten up by his bullies, i have seen him beat up a guy in park with like 20 guys who were his friends or something.

UYou can share physical copies in a file with a police station nearest to the school and give the same to the school principal and hope for the best.
Without actually going to the cops or commision for women etc – things will likely not move forward.

Uwell, the thing is. as per the students, the principal wont do anything since he is also afraid of the teacher. the male students once had gone to the principal for the same reason, but nothing has happened till now. i believe if the principal is not willing to help, how would the police do something, and what if he buys the police also, then i am fucked

UBrother you are underestimating what even a constable can do. Cops have enough power and in my experience cops are very supportive.

As per prevailing laws the principal will go to jail too for not bringing this up earlier.

I understand you being a minor dont want to get involved in this shitshow. But someone has to get their hand dirty to fight this filth in our society. If you can do the ground work of gather the proof, I’m willing to put the work to get the cops to register an official complaint and also get a complaint registered at National commission for women.
I am not a practising lawyer buty wife is. And I have a law firm on retainer for my business. This is not as difficult as you’re perceiving it to be.
Unless it’s money dispute, 99% cops are super supportive and do truly help out.

UHe’s not a pedophile. There are lots of misinformation in the society. Pedophiles are not attracted to post pubescent individuals i.e, above the age 12. People who are exclusively attracted to the age group 12-15 are called Hebephiles. And people who are exclusively attracted to the age group 15-19 are called ephebophiles. Pedophilia is considered a disorder while the other two are not. Hebephilia is debated in the psychology circles to whether be added to the paraphilia/disorder list or not. As of now there is a broad consensus to not consider it as a disorder. Adults who are attracted to minors not necessarily be one in this three.A person with primary interest in adults (Teleiophile) could very well be attracted to minors(pubescent). It’s not even abnormal for an adult male to be attracted to a pubescent teen. And you can’t just call someone who indulges in illegal activities with minors as Pedophiles, Hebephiles or ephebophiles because attraction ≠ action.

UBro… it’s kolkata. Sorry to say, but Nothing’s gonna happen. He’ll just bribe the cops and might get suspended from that said school. Else, nothing’s much gonna happen.
But still, try to gather as much evidence as possible. If you are taking screenshot, make sure that the phone number is shown above, not the name. Keep track of everything in video documentation if possible, ask your sister’s friends to testify, and/or other victims to testify as well(that’s gonna be tough because of the indian mindset of “log kya kahenge”). And when you file an FIR, make sure to do in a group. As in, other victims should also make a statement there.

UBro contact some ngo, if you don’t want your name to come up . Parents have to be involved in these kinds of scenarios. I don’t think not letting them know just because these girls might get shifted to other schools is a right strategy considering what is at stake.

Uupdate: i took action, i went to the police station, they told me the evidence was not enough to arrest him, but they ensured my safety from him and told me to tell the principal to fire him, i went to the school, told the principal about this, he and the male teachers all beat anthony up, and principal dragged him out. feeling very proud.

ISince you have been doubting against all the suggestions being made here, it is advised to get an adult involved and do the rest. That adult should be understandable, can, and who will approach the situtation in a proper manner rather being hot headed and create tension.

Usee, i am not the victim. i am doing this on behalf of the girl because everyone is scared. she told me, cause she thinks i am safe to tell this and she finds it comfortable to share it with me in hope that i would do something. the girl could have told an adult. but she does not find it safe and she is scared her parents would get to know. her parents would probably shut her snapchat and insta and not let her use her mobile, change her school.

MI think both you and your sister’s friend need to confide in an actual adult whom you trust and who you know will help you in a mature and right way.
I think you are way too young to handle this very delicate and serious issue by yourself. Please seek help .
You might be surprised how your seemingly uptight parents / elder siblings might be of great help when it comes to protecting their daughter.
You might get a member of NGO to accompany you or a teacher you completely trust to talk with your parents. They need to know this, file an FIR and get that pedo son of a bitch behind bars and outside of this school asap.
If you dont deal this the right way right now, many other girls might fall victims and this issue might escalate beyond just “asking for nudes”.
Atleast threaten him someway!
