Hi, I was hoping someone could possibly guide me in the right direction.

For some context I am a landlord in the UK and I had some tenants with Indian nationality.

At the end of the tenancy period they left with unpaid rent arrears. I took them to court and was awarded judgement and had a CCJ in my favour.

As far as i am aware the tenant’s have since returned to India, and I was hoping for some advice as to whether it would be possible to enforce a UK CCJ in India.

India has bilateral agreements with the UK to enforce judgments reciprocally. Therefore, a CCJ can be enforced in India by moving an appropriate Petition in the jurisdiction where your former tenants now reside.
