January 27, 2025 at 10:06 amHi, My ex is blackmailing me via text msgs from a long time ( on pics and personal chat content with others, asking he would send to my family if I dont agree on what he says) . He is residing in another city. I reside in Bangalore. I am afraid to do any complaint as if i do, then i am quite sure he would do leak my stuff. and i do not, then also he has made my life impossible. what can I do? And is there any reliable lawyer I can connect to in Bangalore? -

January 27, 2025 at 10:16 amThe best to make him go away would be filling an FIR, but in case you don’t want to, you can still go to the police and ask them to talk to him over a call, if this doesn’t shuts him up, you can obviously File an FIR under section 173 of BNSS, (allows you to file an FIR regardless of jurisdiction)
it has happened with me too, and the only thing that made him stop was me going to the police.-

January 27, 2025 at 10:23 amOP. This person is preying on your fears. Just tell him your next recourse will be to inform the cops and ensure he is in jail. Tell him you have the evidence of his text messages. If you wish, take advise from women’s social group. Know of someone who was in jail for three months and their family were pleading for mercy.
Women’s organization are very strong, knowledgeable and have right costs with police station.
One call from them or the cops will have this cheap romeo s*****g his pants.

January 27, 2025 at 10:20 amUnless you live alone, all legal approaches would mean your family would know something is up. Else you can report to cybercrime if the person is solely someone you know through online meetups. If you have fallen a victim of honey trapping, even then the solution is cybercrime.
Delete your socials. They only send stuff through social media. They usually find people from your profile in such cases. And stop replying or acknowledging them. -

January 27, 2025 at 8:58 pmYour stuff are personal photos? Well, take ss of everything including the chats where he is blackmailing you.I’m an expert and know bstrds like him quite well. He would share them regardless of what he says.
After taking the ss, blackmail him to delete everything otherwise you will proceed with a legal case against him
(Made this comment assuming your stuff are personal photos and not fraud or something else).
