In bangalore, What would it cost to send a legal notice to RWA to open up the cash book for the transactions done.

The RWA rules are vague and none of the committee members are wanting to be transparent.

You don’t need a lawyer to send a legal notice. Just draft all the important points that you require clarity on, mention under what section you are requesting for information (would probably be a state law) and send it to them.

Lawyer here. Let me know if you need any help.

Thanks. Let’s say one does that with an ultimatum and they don’t pay heed, because I believe similar letters have been given.

Then you take them to court, that’s the only option left.

Looks like that and maybe I phrased my post incorrectly. How to send a notice to take them to court ? I guess a lawyer is needed there and the costs would be different.

Okay so there are two types of legal notices, the confusion might be arising there.

When we talk about the colloquial legal notice, its a notice giving the other party an ultimatum as to perform or refrain from performing certain actions by a certain date, else you will take them to court. You are not legally mandated to send this, it is a choice. No lawyer needed here.

The other legal notice is a notice that a party is required to send another when the former impleads the latter in court proceedings. This is done when you’ve already impleaded them and the proceedings have begun. This is legally mandated and you would require a lawyer for this. It is usually sent by post.
