March 29, 2025 at 7:30 amI am aware that a single man cannot adopt a female child, but what does the law say in the following hypothetical situation –An unmarried couple have sex and woman gets pregnant, both refuse to marry each other. but for whatever reasons woman doesn’t want to abort and she gives birth to a girl child, but doesn’t want to raise the child, man agrees to raise his daughter on his own.
What does the law say in this situation ? Will the man be forced to give up his daughter for adoption or will he be allowed to raise his her ?

March 30, 2025 at 9:39 amFrom where do u get this fact that single man can’t adopt a female? I think a single male can adopt any gender provided there is some age difference.-
