April 9, 2025 at 7:02 pmHi everyone, I’m seeking legal advice regarding an issue with Livspace. We hired them for our interior design services, and after agreeing on a project cost and deliverables, we made all payments, which we’ve confirmed with Livspace and have invoices for. However, the final cost ended up being significantly higher than initially discussed, and many of the deliverables were not completed as agreed. Since we don’t stay in India, we just wanted to get the property back. Livspace kept delaying the handover due to unfinished work. We paid the full amount (even the additional) so that there are no hassles.
Here’s where things get complicated – For the past year, their designer (who is contracted by Livspace) has been harassing us for an additional payment of around 3 Lakhs, despite us having paid everything that was agreed upon. The designer has even threatened legal action if we don’t pay. We’ve informed Livspace but unsure of how much they will support or help.
We’re now looking for advice on what steps we should take to ensure we are legally protected. We’ve already cleared all dues, so are we in the clear here? What’s the best way to handle this situation? Should we ask Livspace for something in particular, in writing?
Has anyone experienced something similar with Livspace or any other service? Any guidance or legal tips would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

April 9, 2025 at 7:37 pmlivespace is borderline fraud. Just google “live space fraud reddit India”.Quoting low to grab customer and then increasing cost is their common tactic. There are multiple old reddit posts available.

April 9, 2025 at 7:38 pmYeah. We saw that. But don’t know how to deal with this. Idk how the person is quoting such an arbitrary amount especially since the company states that all payments and dues have been cleared.
