WHe currently holds a valid 5-year tourist visa but has overstayed his permitted time. He wants to find out if it’s feasible for him to travel to India again or if he would face issues at the airport, such as fines or being sent back. He received a departure stamp, but if he’s in their computer system regarding his departure date, he will likely be stopped. Couldn’t immigration lawyers verify if he is blacklisted? They often work with the FRRO and some might have solid connections within that FRRO?

If you have overstayed your visit in India, you need an exit permit. To get the exit permit you have to pay a fine. If he has already left, I’m guessing he had to get an exit permit and has already paid fines.
That means he can come back to India for a visit without worry as a fine for his previous stay has presumably been paid when he exited the country last.

WHe had overstayed his time and left via the seaport. However, he’s concerned that authorities might discover this when he returns. He worries that the computer system has a record of his departure date, even though he only received a departure stamp.
is it possible to know if the computer system has his departure date registeret ?
