UThere is a mosque near my house which blasts azaan 5 times a day from early in the morning breaking noise pollution rules disturbing us including many other families. Please contact if you’re a lawyer ready to take this up for a reasonable fee.
Disclaimer: not against Muslims and azaan but against noise pollution and Indians lacking civic sense.

BI am facing same problem but in Maharashtra.
There are already 3 mosques in my area. Now they are building 4th one on government land.

PI empathise with your problem. Do you have have money to install noise proof windows ? If yes do that. These mosques and temples won’t stop. But I’m happy to be proven wrong and support you if you decide to take legal action, don’t be afraid. What’s the worst that can happen ?

UHonestly, I think that is a very selfish response to a public problem. I can afford these windows but what about the people not as privileged as I am. Private money should not be used to solve a public problem.

PIt’s just a smarter way. Do you think other more well to do ppl are not disturbed ? Do you think they lack courage to fight the mosque ? Did they lack connections ? Why do the rich and super rich not dirty their hands with court fights & activism ? Why is it always the guy who has nothing fighting the battle ? Cos he has relatively nothing to lose. Others have young kids, reputation, business, property and other such things that they worry about before getting into a fight.

UThose who have never faced it don’t know how traumatic it is.
I lived in a place once which was surrounded by mosques and they blared the azaan in full volume and it was a literal torture.
Keep your religion to yourself please !

UThe same thing happens when someone complains about loud fireworks during Diwali or loudspeakers during navratri, people start asking “why don’t you have any problem with the loudspeaker that’s doing the same every morning the whole year”, like who said I don’t?

But you need a deeper understanding of my point , it was not targeted towards a religion as much as you’d want to believe.
It was towards a vote bank , which includes a religious group (Hindu or Muslim) or a caste group.If you are not a part of that vote bank (certain section) no one cares about your rights.

UThe downvoters don’t realise that you have a valid point. In the name of any religion people create nuisance that violates our basic rights as citizens. They get away with it under the garb of Article 25. This is the bigger issue that needs to be addressed, before OPs issue can be. Else there’s nothing we can do about it.

much needed disclaimer, i hope you find a solution to your problem and if you’re able to find one, send it my way as well cause i also have one mosque opposite to my building and its wayy too noisy, specially on fridays
much needed disclaimer to my comment as well: i was born and raised a muslim, now atheist by choice and no i dont hate muslims as well cause i grew up wid em 😉
