March 9, 2025 at 2:48 pmHello guys,I am Muslim guy living in Rajasthan. There is one mosque near my neighborhood which as 8 loudspeakers and they play Azaan on it very loudly 5 times a day. Even my parents speak loud due to hearing issues they are having. Kids here do not listen properly due to loudspeaker noise. I am scientist by profession, and I understand the repercussions of these loud noises.
I did a noise test on these loudspeakers and the decibels level were double of what government has allowed them in Noise Pollution Act of 2000.
Is there anything I can do legally to get a banned or at least lower the noise of these loudspeakers in the mosque.
My dad tried talking to them, but they disrespected my dad. It is so difficult to talk to these people rationally.

March 9, 2025 at 4:27 pmI am a Muslim. I am born in Muslim family. I am a rationalist or agnostic. I dont believe in organized religions. I didnt lie. I said I am muslim because I didnt want anyone to think I am Hindu who is hating on one community. I hope you understand, the air in India is not very rational and secular.

March 9, 2025 at 4:45 pmYour parents have hope that maybe because of your education it could have a different impression…a rational voice ? I don’t think this will resolve your dilemma immediately but please do engage your neighborhood irrespective of religious or political affiliation and objectively share the hazard of high decibels . Maybe eventually this will help mobilise the community to convince in to reduce the volume for every one’s good .
