Hello please help. this incident took place in a vllage in delhi/ncr. a lower caste 8-12 yo boy was sexually assaulted by a thakur guy around 2 days ago. boy’s mother refused to file a police complaint cuz village is a thakur majority village and she is afraid of getting beaten by thakurs for filing a complaint. but i am afraid for the kid. what if people start sexually abusing him if no action is taken. beside why should a rapist be walked freely? he might rape others too.

pleaseee tell me if any NGO or anything could help the kid. i will share all the info. i can’t reveal my identity though. pls pls pls help me. i can’t be at peace until the culprit is in jail.

Contact the IPS or IAS through email or someone with high authority around that village. Keep your Identity and that victim family identity anonymous for now until you can trust that; their help wouldn’t be risky and ask them how will you help give us justice and guarantee the safety of the family.

If you feel safe enough then share the information with them. Or just get some advice from some lawyer near you.

Try to gather as many insights as you can gather to help this family and do it safely.

They can get protection under the SC/ST Act, and the criminal can be prosecuted under POCSO.

This is very sad and heartbreaking to know how we can’t protect even though we want to. Why not whistle blow to some NGOs and news channels? Research about POCSO and try contacting the tribunal. Also, I hope parents are going to support you, without which it may be difficult if it can’t be proven.

Don’t do any stupid things as suggested in the comments. First and most important, contact GOOD NGO who actually care and is capable.

Wherever syrup you want to take do it only once they approve.

Do it soon. This is a posco case, Good thing is boy was under 16 so law is in his favour.

Rapist should be punished accordingly.
All right with that but I don’t see the sense why you have to explicitly mention the boy is lower caste and the rapist is thakur. Victim is a boy and the culprit is a man , why u have to brag around the caste.
