March 15, 2025 at 8:26 amHello people,I needed guidance regarding ICICI Lombard insurance claim. It was rejected due to customer negligency.
Vehicle : Honda two wheeler CB350
Insurance company: ICICI Lombard
Issue: Rear tyre rim bent due to pathole on the road at 50km.
Reason of rejection: Customer negligency saying that rear tyre pressure was not set.It could cost me 8k to 9k.
Please suggest me what should I do next?

March 15, 2025 at 8:59 amSo incident happened on 9th March after then I tried to fill air inside tyre because I felt there is a tyre puncture after 200 meter of that pathole. But when it was not possible due to rim was bent and gap was created where the air was coming out. And tyrewala told me there is rim bent so can’t fill the air. I reported this on 11th March.

Escalate to Insurance Ombudsman

March 15, 2025 at 10:05 amWhat a lame fucking reason to reject a claim. Get the rejection letter and escalate further. If that doesn’t work, complain to the ombudsman. That should work.-

Here’s how you contact the ombudsman:
If you contact the ombudsman without escalating through proper channels, your request will be denied.
