My brother mobile hacked and debited 27k from his account. How to safe for future?

A week ago he recevied a whatsapp message from unknown number for e-challan. He clicked on it, he thought its pdf but latter I checked it and it was apk named rto app and then after 10 min I uninstalled that app but before that my brother has given him many permission. We got in contact of the person who sent message and got to know his mobile was already hacked and he has done FIR already.

And he transfered all his funds to my account that time. Now today he got 40k from his client and he debited 27k. Actually the scammer registered his number on slice app and go text messsge from slice app that” blinkit is requesting for money in slice app”/and without clicking that link his money debited. Latter I checked he has received 2-3 otp of slice app and he didn’t told anyone even he didn’t have any idea abt otp.

So thats mean hacker can see his message or any other details. We did complaint on 1903 and got registered. Now what can we do to prevent it in future? Should by formatting mobile we will be safe? Or after reset he could do it again? And is there any chance to receive money.

Format device and avoid installing unknown apps in phone.

After formatting device, the scammer won’t be able to do this?

I mean there’s always a chance your brother falls for another scam apk… also i don’t understand the slice app bit, your brother already had slice installed? And the scammer used it do send money to his account?

No,he never used slice app. But the scammer registered it with and his mobile number and my brother got otp for register. That scammer can read his msg so he took otp and register there.

And what if dont fall for another scam apk then will his account be safe after reset the mobile. ?

Yes. After reset, install slice and deregister/delete from there.
