January 25, 2025 at 2:11 pmThis is absolutely true and nothing i state here is anything but true.So my(17f) grandfather now wants a divorce from my dadi.
My father is the eldest of all four kids of my dadi. When hd was 14 my grandfather cheated on my dadi with this another lady and then left my dadi, his four kids, and his own mother to stay alone. My dadi being the “pativrata aurat” did not file for a divorce and she raised my father and his siblings with the 3000 rupees my grandfather gave to her monthly. Later when my father grew up he somehow managed to get scholarships and got a good job inspite of all the financial hardships. HE was the one who payed for each of his siblings college, HE aas the one who married off both of my buas, also one of my bua had a divore, HE was the one who fought the case for 12years for her and then remarried her to a surgeon.
My grandfather never bothered to check if his kids were doing fine, instead he set up a whole new family with his second wife and also has a daughter with that lady. Now, he files a divorce case in the court saying that my dadi is a mental patient who abused her for years and now he wants to divorce her. Nowhere does he mention HIS cheating on my dadi.
I am so frustrated at this man, my dadi is such a pure lady, she never bad mouthed my grandfather to anyone. She absolutely does not deserve this. And you might think why does this man just wake up and apply for a divorce now, my chacha has came to a conclusion that he wishes his pension transfers to his second wife after him, and as my dadi is the record wife, this will not happen.
How selfish a man can be!! My dadi could have taken half his property, demanded the kids share as well, taken half the salary/pension, still she didn’t. Instead on every karwachauth she still keeps a vrat, wears the sindoor……

January 25, 2025 at 2:24 pmShe should take him to the cleaners on alimony… she shouldn’t grant him a divorce for anything less than 5 crores for 50+ years of mental anguish.-

January 25, 2025 at 3:38 pmAgree. For every Atul Subhash in this country there are 10 assholes like this man. This country is for rich and powerful men and women who routinely bribe the system for their own benefit. Honest, fair, and regular men and women get fucked by the system.
Matrimony related issues aren’t a “Men vs Women” issue, the real issue is that powerful individuals with evil intent get away with any crime just as long as they bribe the system.
You can make all the laws you want, but women’s condition won’t improve until corruption and bribery is eradicated. Unfortunately, short of a meteor striking this country, nothing will change.

January 25, 2025 at 8:15 pmthe system is ignoring the 10 assholes and going after the 1 Atul per 10 assholes. criminals have a free reign. Yes this isn’t a men vs women issue, crime is defined by action not gender, but the criminals won’t like it so they want to change the fight to caste, religion, gender, language etc.-

January 26, 2025 at 6:48 amYou’re just making a loaded statement on the fly.One can say the amount of false rape cases, women using men to get to a foreign country , entrapping a man etc far outweighs it. that’s a loaded statement too.

January 25, 2025 at 2:39 pmDon’t take this divorce case lightly as if it’s uncontested by your dadi then your grandfather can get the divorce decree ex parte and then your dadi loses rights in his pension and properties. She will need to oppose the case , give her entire story in the written statement and file a counter petition for maintenance.-

January 25, 2025 at 5:03 pmLet him go. He is 70. Let him be happy. He does not like your dadi. Nothing can be done about it. If he has done so much for the family he is not going to leave her in a lurch. He has also done enough for the family from what you are describing. So now don’t torture him. He has few years to live.-

January 26, 2025 at 4:13 amI think Gen z feels these are things that they are seeing is injustice .Yeah they are but they have been prevalent before us and they shall stay after we are dead too. What you can do is share Love 🧡
And if you can than; be with your GM when she is on deathbed. Fighting for something that she is given up long back won’t establish anything other than just satisfying your inner self.

January 26, 2025 at 4:17 amNot a Lawyer, but what does your dadi wants? Inquire if this causes her more trauma? I would suggest let her live in peace and running around courts, just delay the court date as much as possible. -

January 26, 2025 at 6:47 amI’m so sorry, it’s so heartbreaking what your dadi your father and his siblings had to endure bc of that incompetent man. No child should go through that, what your father did is so commendable sometimes I wonder how our fathers did so much despite so many obstacles. Class act. I really don’t have any legal inputs but just wanted to say this. I wish you and your family. happiness and success and hope you guys win this case.-

January 26, 2025 at 7:07 amMy father has always been like a father to all three of his siblings. He says he has 3 more kids apart from us. He has always been so available for me, i feel he tries to make me have all of whatever he missed out on. He is LITERALLY the best father, brother, son, husband.-
