May 7, 2025 at 9:24 amShe left our house about 10 years ago but visited often. Has 4-5 children but all uselessUsed to say she loves her daughter and will give everything to her.
Long story short, The daughter lied to her and took her thumb impression, sold the jhuggi for 13 lacs. Took her to another place and made her live on rent there. She has another son(who has a wife and kid) with her but he has health issues so he wasn’t able to pay rent, they were kicked out.
She asked the daughter to keep them but is struggling with food, money and is being constantly threatened that the daughter will kill the son if she goes to the police.
She came to us crying today but is reluctant to file FIR bacause
1. Worried about the safety of son and his family.
2. The daughter said (and apparently showed her the papers) that the new land they bought worth 12 lacs is half owned by the son
This women is a very weak and old lady who is barely getting by. She left her home 4 am in the morning and reached our home at 2 pm(we live only 4 kms away from her daughter’s house but she kept getting lost and has no phone with her. Gave her some money and food, booked a rapido for her to get back.
We have convinced her to file FIR. Any other advice would be appreciated.

May 8, 2025 at 11:18 amThey file fir, but most of them refuse because they are able to pay to police for them to take action.
Which is why in our Village also, bpl people are most neglected.

May 7, 2025 at 9:50 amYou should look if there are any ngo in the area who work for elderly. See if they can help to sort out the matter.
