My uncle is refusing to give ration card to me

I want to get domicile certificate but family ration card is on my grandfather’s name and my uncle has it but he is not giving it to me want can I do legally (sorry for bad english)
Please help can I file any case against him

What ? just go to mee seva and take a certified copy! It’s so simple. The centre may be called differently in your state

Police actually won’t file an FIR, but they will call your uncle and try to settle the matter.
I am really not sure though.

But try the other methods first like creating ration card from scratch without involvement of your uncle or grandfather

Why ration card is required for domicile document?

Is there any other alternative document that can be used? What did the people from the government dept say ?

If you can prove you have been living in the state for a certain number of years (school report cards), you don’t need ration card

If it’s for residential proof then electricity bill is also an option which is easier to get.
