UHi, me M(22), lives in Bangalore just behind the police station, so on 26th feb near my house I had to go withdraw money from the ATM next to the police station and I had taken my cycle to go the ATM, While going I could on the road and to the ATM or on the footpath to the ATM. So the police station is in front of the footpath, so usually I use the footpath but to go on it I have to jump on the footpath without getting down the cycle doing a very slight wheele to climb up the footpath in front of the police station, and right in front of me there were two police men who stopped me and started yelling at me for doing a wheele and shouted at me (louda ka Baal) and then they hit me 3 times on the head with 2nd one being hard, so I told them sorry I won’t do it again, they left me and I went a little bit further and looked back asked why sir with this (why sir hand gesture) and left. Today I had gone with cycle without going on the footpath and directly going to the ATM and was waiting in line when one of that police person recognised me and called me into the police Station, I locked my cycle near the police gate and they were threatening me to put in jail and put a criminal charge against me, then they took me to the police inspector and I explained to the inspector in charge he left it to both those police officers and then noted down my name my number my address my fathers number and name and called him to the station, they told him what happed and later told they might put a petty case on me, my father asked to leave me he told ok we had to pay 1000Rs to the officer and I had to sign some half written letter and sign some thing with my name and sign (I don’t use my full sign), they took both my father and me in a photo and we left and had to say sorry to the inspector but he told to leave the cycle there and they told my father to come pick up the cycle after 2 days.
Q1 what Should I do?
Q2 Will This affect my future?
Q3 Will this Affect me in getting police
verification for passport and visa?
Q4 Should I ask St broseph for help? -
UNo offense has been committed here, they fooled you to extort money, all other things like taking photos etc were to make it look legit which it wasn’t. Nothing to worry about here, I would rather suggest you not to do anything here, does not seem like any formal records are there as well. If they shared some case no. Or any thing of that sort then share here.

UDoing a welle with cycle is not an offence under any law at most then could say you committed public nuisance but that in reality would not stand in court. Contact an advocate next time before paying someone like that
