I have an approximately 8-year-old Aquaguard water purifier under an AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract). However, despite multiple follow-ups, the company has failed to fulfill a scheduled maintenance due to parts unavailability, offering no resolution.

I recently purchased a new water purifier through their website, without a replacement for the old one. Unfortunately, the new unit was defective, and the service technician couldn’t install it. He raised a request for a replacement, but it’s been over a week with no updates.

This issue is particularly urgent as it affects my elderly parents, and access to clean drinking water has become a significant concern. What legal steps can I take to resolve this matter?

Buy a KENT RO water purifier or any other cheaper one for now. And file a complaint in the consumer forum for deficiency in service for both of the products. Take full refund with interest and ask for compensation for the mental anguish.

Collect all receipts , invoices and any communication as evidence and discuss with a lawyer how to pursue the case. Its gonna take time. No reason for your parents to suffer.

File a Consumer Complaint to your nearest district forum through an advocate preferably but you can also appear as party in person as well.

Eureka is useless, they only call you when policy near expiry

That AMC is a scam you know.

Even i have a quite old Aquaguard (i-nova). The service technician calls promptly for AMC renewal but not for service. This time he called and said he came in June, when i know for a fact that i wasn’t home then.

I have now bought the filters myself (each model filter is available on official site, but there is also good third party ones on a site called aquabreeze or so. Instructions by that owner are there on youtube and his website for each model). I saw the videos and did the filter replacement myself. So so much cheaper than AMC.

I suggest you do this first (if old aquaguard is still working) and then go for legal route for the new one. You know the new ones are shiii right?! They have an auto-obsolescence function IN-BUILT. Can you believe the level of scam they are doing with these new models.
