        Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out for help regarding a relative who has been caught in a deeply unfair and distressing situation for years. Despite seeking assistance from influential people, no real help has come her way—everyone seems to have their own agenda. To make matters worse, she is financially strained while also caring for her ailing mother. It’s heartbreaking to see how some people exploit the vulnerable.

Here is where you can listen to her story – https://x.com/VilasiniSalvi/status/1884964177401237862

For those who don’t understand Marathi, here’s a quick summary of what has happened:

The lady in question had mortgaged her home with a private investor in need of funds in 2013. As she was unable to repay the amount, she had to vacate in 2015. The agreement was that if she couldn’t repay, she could sell the house, pay off her dues to the investor, and keep the remaining amount.

However, a local so-called politician, Sandesh Desai from MNS, inserted himself into the situation under the pretext of helping her sell the flat. She never approached him, but he took control of the process. Instead of facilitating the sale, he obstructed it—refusing to let her bring in buyers and delaying the sale for years. Eventually, she discovered that he had fraudulently transferred the flat to his own name by intimidating the investor into handing over the property documents.

The flat, originally a BMC property, hadn’t even been officially transferred to the lady’s name even though she stayed there for 30years, yet Sandesh Desai managed to take control of it illegally in 2018. The housing society continued corresponding with her, and she even paid maintenance and repair charges until 2016. Despite all this, he has been living in the house since 2018 without ever paying for it. Adding insult to injury, he even contested the 2024 elections from Versova as an MNS candidate—using the very same flat as his official address.

The lady, now almost 60, has been tirelessly trying to reach out to MNS leadership, including the party president, but has received no meaningful support. She desperately needs legal assistance or any influential contacts who can help fight this injustice.

If anyone in Mumbai is willing to take up this case—whether an advocate, a journalist, or someone with the right connections—please DM me so I can connect you with her. Any leads, advice, or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry seems too big for an average redditor, but word of advise:
Do not deal with kannadogs. Do not hire them , do not do business with them. Treat them like subhumans in their own capital city.
