UWhile staying in Delhi, I submitted an FIR for my stolen product. As it was resolved the day after, I submitted cancellation of FIR to the police the very next day.
A year later, the court is suddenly summoning me for that cancelled FIR. I am no longer staying in Delhi and have shifted permanently to another state.
As it is impossible for me to go to Delhi, can i just ignore the summon?

BAn FIR can’t technically be ‘canceled’ after registration, but it can be closed. In your case, the police may have resolved the matter but never properly submitted a closure report to the court. That’s likely why you’re still getting a summon.
