January 23, 2025 at 5:58 amHey everyone, I got caught up in an online investment scam and could really use some advice. It started with a small Rs. 50 reward for joining WhatsApp channels. Later, they convinced me to invest Rs. 2000 in a crypto platform, promising Rs. 2800 in return—which I actually got. Gaining my trust, they pushed me to invest Rs. 5000, and after I paid, they claimed I had to complete two more “rounds” or lose my money.
Panicking, I paid Rs. 22,000 for the first and Rs. 38,000 for the second. Then they hit me with another excuse, saying I picked the wrong currency and lost, and now they want Rs. 1,24,000 to “recover” my losses. That’s when I realized it was all a scam.
I reported this to cybercrime 4 months ago, but nothing has happened since. No updates, no help.
What should I do next? Is there any way to get my money back or take further action? Would appreciate any advice.
Thanks in advance!
