UHello,
Someone obtained sexually compromising material of me. I am not able to visualise a normal existence for me.
I had an idea what was happening but still participated.
Is there a way out, or is it the end for me?
My apologies if this is the wrong community to post this is in. I was having trouble finding communities to seek advice on this subject on reddit, so I’ve posted this here.
Please advise me if there is a more appropriate community to post this in.
The material was obtained online, through a WhatsApp call.
The scammer contacted me with threats but stopped after a while.
This was over a year ago.
Any advice or support would be much appreciated as, given the state of things in the nation, I am very worried about this coming back to bite me in the future, if the perpetrators are not apprehended, and the material erased.
I am seriously contemplating suicide.

UDo it Only (suicide, if you aren’t religious or doesn’t have someone who will go through a lot, just do it) if you live in a very conservative society, they will make your life hell.

OP don’t listen to any of this, life doesn’t end with it, it will get hard and times will be tough but no, don’t ever choose this path. Things get better with time. Find someone you can talk to in your circle or simply keep venting out things on reddit, there are a lot of good people out here.-
UAt the end is his life bro, internet advice won’t make him end. I know what it feels like i just hope he don’t die from brain hamerage. If he/she has friends and family really good then he would back up but for me I was even blamed for holding my photos and I stored in proton I didn’t even shared it to anyone but it was made I was having some relationship, crazy people out their. I am still standing up but at what cost headaches, anxiety at peak. No one can handle this shit, if he/she has understanding parents and friends then good for him he would but if he is alone then God sake keep yourself sane. I was a psychology student so for me figuring out my psyche was easy.

USorry, but youre dumb mate. Suicide is not a solution for anything. People will forget about u anyways. Life is vast and imagine ending it ! Listen here, you have only one life. Like REALLY. You wont get to exist after it. Ending it means nothing. Instead, just go away from ur place and live a life of your own. Thats the last way of escape.

SIt’s okay, man. You can change your phone number to a new one and completely remove the old one, don’t use the ‘Change Number’ option in WhatsApp. Just delete the app completely and then reinstall it with the new number.
Even if something comes up in the future, you will have changed a lot, both physically and mentally, so try to accept that what happened is in the past. If anyone questions you later, just say it’s not you and might be someone else you’re not sure and move on.

If someone tries to blackmail you simply say no worries at all and if he wants more u can lie to him about having an only fans account if he wants more of your pic.
Trust me he will be disgusted and will delete them because no one can shame you once u have removen your clothes yourself

If the material has been uploaded anywhere, then search for ways to complain and block them from public display. If the platforms cooperate – well and good, else report to Cyber crime helpline or ask a local lawyer to file a complaint against the platform in the Police Station.
