April 29, 2025 at 7:06 amHi everyone,
I’m seeking advice regarding my mother’s physical shares of JSW (Jindal Steel Works). We submitted the KYC documents to KFin Technologies, and it took over 3 months for them to complete the verification โ only after I raised a complaint with SEBI.I got the acknowledgement letter from kfin also and followed all the steps they mentioned there.
Following that, I filled and submitted the IEPF-5 Web Form twice, and both times it got rejected:
1st attempt: Rejected saying a notary stamp was required (there were no other issues mentioned).
2nd attempt: I got the notary stamp and re-submitted all documents. This time they rejected it saying the physical certificate wasn’t attached โ but I had sent a self-attested copy of the physical share certificate.
What’s concerning is:
I never received any of the rejected forms or documents back.
I’m afraid of sending the original physical certificate now, as I might lose it if they reject again without returning the documents.I don’t trust KFinTech at this point.
Can anyone help with:1. What exact documents are required to submit the IEPF-5 form successfully?
2. Is there any clear official documentation that outlines the correct process?
3. Is it necessary to send the original physical share certificate, or will a notarized/self-attested copy suffice?
4. Any advice on how to escalate this effectively or ensure document safety?
5. Is there some lawyer or someone whom I can reach out to and I can pay for their service and they can help me and getting converted by physical shares to the digital one ?
Would appreciate any guidance from someone who has gone through this or knows the process well.
Thanks in advance!
