May 10, 2026 at 12:50 amBought my iPhone 15 Plus in March 2024.
Started noticing camera issues around July 2024 and by September the rear camera completely stopped working and just showed a blank screen. Got it repaired by Apple in October 2024 under warranty.
Then the exact same issue came back again in June 2025. After a lot of back and forth with Apple Support, they finally gave me a CS code and repaired it again in September 2025.
Now the camera is starting to act up again with the same symptoms and I genuinely don’t know what to do anymore. The camera randomly stops working, freezes, or goes blank.
What’s frustrating is that every time I call support, I only get connected to basic advisors. They say they’ve “spoken to senior teams” but nobody senior actually gets on call with me directly.
At this point I want to know:
Can I ask for a replacement instead of another repair?Does this qualify as a recurring defect under Indian consumer law?
How do I properly escalate this with Apple India?
I still have records of both repairs and the CS code repair as well.
Would appreciate any advice from people who’ve dealt with something similar. -

May 10, 2026 at 5:44 amLawyer here. Yes its a deficiency in service under the consumer law. Send a legal notice through a lawyer. If they still don’t respond file a consumer complaint-

May 11, 2026 at 5:27 pmLegal Advice on your matter :-Repeated camera failure despite multiple Apple repairs may qualify as a recurring manufacturing defect under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. The consumer can legally demand replacement, refund, or compensation instead of endless repairs.
Preserve all repair records, CS Code details, and malfunction proof before initiating formal legal action against Apple India.
