January 13, 2025 at 5:54 amHi, Iโm seeking advice on a personal matter. Iโm a freelance social media marketer, and I usually work from home. My father, who is 55, is about to get laid off as his company is closing down, and things are financially challenging right now.Iโve been thinking of converting one of our two car parking spaces in our building into a small office-like structure using a PVC partition. The idea is to have a dedicated space for client meetings, which I believe will create more trust with my clients.
This space would be for personal use only and not for any commercial business activity. However, Iโm not sure about the legal implications of such a conversion. Do I need permission from the housing society or local authorities? Are there any potential legal issues I should be aware of?
Iโd greatly appreciate any advice or guidance. Thank you!

It may also create other problems – like blocking parking access and potential fire safety issues. ; and rules relevant for common areas. You may also set a bad precedent from a housing society standpoint. -
