March 7, 2025 at 8:04 amHello, I need urgent legal advice on how to ensure police remand (custody) for the accused in a case of late-night harassment at two different homes in the same night.Incident Details:
Who: A group of three people from our family temple committee (including a neighbor and relatives).
Why: They created this issue because my father and uncle do not actively support the temple.
Time:
11:30 PM: They came to my house, shouted, created a major disturbance, and mentally harassed my parents, who were home alone.
1:00 AM: The same group went to my uncleβs house and again created a scene, causing further disturbance and intimidation.
What Happened:
No physical violence, but extreme intimidation, shouting, and mental harassment.
They clearly targeted our family due to personal grudges.
We donβt have CCTV footage, and we donβt know if the neighbor supports us.
However, my parents and uncle are willing to testify.
My Goal:
I want to file a police complaint and ensure the accused are remanded for at least 14 days, so that no one dares to repeat such behavior.

March 7, 2025 at 8:14 amNAL but you should file a complaint take your parents and record both their testimonies however I think they wont get 14 day custody coz that is granted by judge and judge will only grant it if there is an ongoing serious investigation the police need evidence for. -

March 9, 2025 at 8:57 amGather proof of intimidation or harrasment and approach the magistrate directly.High unlikely that the police would take serious action unless you’ve got good connections.
Atleast this is what I’d recommend my clients to do.
