Hello, I have a designer label based in Mumbai and I give my products on consignment basis to multidesigner stores on consignment basis, which means they get a commision on what is sold and the rest of the inventory is returned back to me. One such store I work with is in Karnal, Haryana. I have constantly been behind the owner to send my inventory back since 18th Feb and she’s just making me dance around day in and out and just not sending it back. She refuses to reply to my msgs, has blocked me on calls, emails are unanswered. I am under a lot of stress because of this. The inventory is worth lakhs and I cannot let it [go.As](http://go.As) proof of delivery, I have the delivery challans sent to their store’s email. As request to get back the inventory, I have my WhatsApp messages with the owner.

In this scenario, can I file a police complaint? Do I have a strong case? What legal sections can I charge them with?

Hi lawyer here. I will suggest sending a legal notice to her first and ask her to return the stuff to you within 15 days, failing which you will be liable for unsold stock plus damages..should shake up things for you. Btw are you registered under Udyam?
