Need Legal Advice: KTM India Not Refunding Booking Amount Since March Despite Repeated Follow-ups

I’m seeking legal advice regarding an ongoing issue with KTM India.

I had booked a KTM motorcycle earlier this year and paid a booking amount of ₹2,000. Due to personal reasons, I had to cancel the booking and requested a refund. I’ve been following up since 6th March 2025, with multiple calls and emails from there on.

Here’s what has happened so far:

Every time I call their customer care, I’m told someone from the dealership will contact me within 24–48 hours. No one has ever called.

On one of the calls, a customer care supervisor assured me he would “personally look into it”. After that, he vanished and there has been no follow-up.

It has now been nearly two months, and I still haven’t received the refund.

This is not just poor customer service — this feels like deliberate negligence and possible fraud.

I’ve documented all communication, including call logs and reference numbers.

My questions:

1. What are my legal options to compel KTM India to process my refund?

2. Can I file a complaint with the Consumer Forum or District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission? If yes, what is the process?

I’d appreciate any help or guidance from those with experience in consumer law. This has gone on long enough, and I’m ready to take formal legal action if needed

Legal expenses would be more than 2000 Rs (your lost money). Forget legal route.
