UBack in September 2024, I got in contact with a guy via a mutual friend who was selling Diljit dosanjh concert tickets which was happening in gurgaon. Trusting the mutual friend( he is more like a brother to me ) I paid that guy twice, total funds of 32k. The guy did not deliver the product and ran away with the money, he still stayed in contact giving false promises but then he also stopped replying. I know everything about that person, where he lives, what he does, So with coordination with the mutual friend, i sent him a legal notice regarding the payment which when sent to his home, his mother refused to take it and she said that no one with that name lives here.
This is not about the money now but the mental stress it has created. Now he is back in Gurgaon( he stayed in goa for a long time ). So i want to know what legal proceedings can i do to him and how should i proceed now, should i take the legal route and see how things go or should i take the “different(not so legal)” route to see how things go.
He has been living a lavish lifestyle but now whenever i contact him, all he has to say is he also got scammed by some other guy and then he gave me his lawyers number saying that i should talk to him.
The amount is small and it doesnt really matter much, but i need to know what should i do now.
