Pls take a moment to read it, thanks in advance

I joined a consultancy firm last August as a Recruiter (fresher), now everything was fine till April, but this month my TL n Manager n upper management just dropped a new rule

Since it’s a consultancy we have a monthly target, now which they have divided into daily Target. So suddenly they started applying LOP if that daily Target isn’t met. Like I spent almost 12 hrs there n boom it’s a LOP. But it’s not same for all the people for 2 of us only it’s happening. BIASED

No such thing was mentioned on the offer letter regarding deduction and obviously I know it’s kinda illegal even if it’s mentioned on the offer letter.

I’m definitely planning to leave the company but I want to know how to deal with it. Like I want the money on the date they marked LOP without any strong reason and being completely biased n toxic. If they don’t pay is there any way to get that?

        Pls suggest the way out

this sounds less like normal performance pressure and more like sudden policy enforcement being selectively used which is why it feels unfair especially if only a few people are getting marked lop despite working full days the part that usually matters most later is whether there is any written communication showing when this rule started and how inconsistently it was applied because companies often rely on verbal pressure in these situations have you kept screenshots mails attendance logs or target sheets showing that others missing daily targets were treated differently from you two

No there was no written communication when the lop marking started, it was all verbal and sudden, but when they marked LOP then only they send a formal mail saying you have been marked LOP due to not meeting target. In terms of my proofs yea I have attendance log ss (even though I forgot to log in one day) but target sheet is not there cuz daily Target is also verbally communicated. Only monthly Target is formal. But yes I do have proof of mails that I have worked full day.

Idk when I will meet the monthly Target then maybe they will withdraw the lop but it’s really stressful and that biasness is pathetic

Lawyer here. The company cannot arbitrarily impose salary deductions or mark Loss of Pay merely because internally fixed daily targets are not met, especially when such a condition was never part of the appointment terms. Salary deductions must have a lawful basis and cannot be discriminatory or selectively applied to only certain employees. It would be advisable to raise a formal written grievance to HR seeking clarification regarding the policy, basis of deductions, and selective implementation.

If the deducted amount is not reversed, you may consider sending a legal notice and thereafter approach the Labour Commissioner or appropriate labour authority for unlawful wage deduction and unfair labour practice.
