SMy mom feeds dogs daily and we have a few mats next to our doors where the street dogs sit.. We never claim its our dogs and we never put collars on them, our whole locality hates dogs but many give them bones and stuff as per their mood.
Sometimes they do some damage and sometimes they have bitten a few people labours or people aswell. They were sent to govt facility for neutering and were returned few days later.
Yesterday, they tore our neighbour’s scooty seat and broke his flower pot so out of revenge he broke our flower pot and today he threw his own dogs shit on our scooty. He also took away mats from our house.
Upon asking he kept repeating that the dogs tore his seat and you feed them so its your fault, he also sort of threatened us that you dont know me and what I’m capable of and what i can do to all of you. He said he already filled a report before when “our” dogs bit his son so we shouldn’t challenge him.
We are a simple family and dont know how to deal with this situation. The guy is a bit psycho and he used to beat his wife who doesn’t live with him, when somebody complained about the violence and abuse he does she defused the police saying he’s mentally ill. But now she doesn’t live with him and also took one son with her.. He lives with his son now and not even any househelp comes to his house.
How should i keep my family secure and what should i do in this situation. Ill really appreciate any help !

LYou feed the dog, you should take responsibility for its actions too. You can’t feed and look the other way when it does damages.
Either you take responsibility or you don’t. Best is to apologise and compensate for the torn seats. Unfortunately that’s the way it is.
We can’t take ownership of the dog as per convenience.

So according to you labourers are not people?
Also why dont you just adopt these dogs and make them rabbies free etc. Instead of making your street or house a hub where all street dogs come for getting food
