Nestaway not reducing its notice period even when rent agreement is expiring

I need to vacate my flat immediately, which I had rented through Nestaway. Their policy requires a 45-day notice period, which in my case extends until April 20, 2025. However, my rent agreement itself expires on April 1, 2025.

My concern is that if the agreement— which mandates the notice period— will no longer be in effect after April 1, why should I be required to serve the notice period beyond that date? I have tried reasoning with Nestaway’s customer care team, but they are unwilling to consider this.

Can someone guide me on how to handle this situation effectively?

That’s not how it works whether it’s nestaway or direct agreement with the landlord. If you didn’t want to renew your agreement then you were supposed to give a notice 45 days before the agreement end date.

Naaa , this is a grey area where the terms and conditions are done after the contract period. So both parties can create issues for each other if they don’t have an understanding.

You won’t get your deposit back. You may also get notice to pay additional money to them for damages.
