        We had a purchased Tata Nexon Ev back in 2022 and took out a loan from New India Co-op Bank with a monthly Emi of 22700. We have been keeping enough balance in the account and never missed a payment in these 30 months. But this particular month of march we had received this msg (as shown in the photo) Now at the date of EMI being deducted, 1,70,000 was present in the account and it is till date, it didn’t got deducted from their side still they have blamed us for low balance. After contacting the branch they again started blaming us. I dont know why but they are asking for another 250-300 extra charges just because ‘we’ missed the payment. This resulted between an argument between the bank employee and my dad. He also said that from now onwards ECS won’t be deducted and you’ll have to come and deposit the money through cash every month in a very very shouting to us rudely and abruptly hung up the phone. The bank is 10 kms away from our home and even if it was near us why should we deposit it and why are we liable for anything that we haven’t done wrong.

        Really need someone’s help and advice on how can we tackle this and get red of this, also this may sound miser but im not willing to pay that extra 250-300 for nothing. Please let me know what can or shall we do, should we report this to rbi, if yes how ?

        (I’m 21M, my father is 55 we don’t have much knowledge about bank terms, rules so anything explained briefly would help)

          Threaten with filing a complaint with the Ombudsman, and if the bank continuea like this. Follow through with it. The same banker will start apologizing.

              At this point, OP shouldn’t be threatening, he should be filing a complaint to the bank ombudsman highlighting their inefficiencies and rude behaviour.

              Get the loan transferred to a bank near your home

                  If you had sufficient balance on the day of EMI deduction, immediately raise a grievance in the channel provided by the bank (usually a zonal officer or someone) including their threats of requiring you to pay only at bank with the bank employee name. Fire an email to this [email](https://www.newindiabank.in/nodal_officer.html) id with all details.

                  Keep raising the level after period mentioned this document in case of non-resolution or non-satisfactory resolution as per this [chain](https://www.newindiabank.in/pdf_new/bank_policies/Grievance_Redressal_Policy.pdf).

                  That employee whoever shouted at you will come to you begging and understands that the bank is not their fiefdom.

                  After they are taught their lesson, move your loan to another bank.

                      BTW it looks like a fraud bank. What is the rate that enticed you to get into this shit instead of SBI or something proper?

                        Transfer the loan. Once done go to the bank and give a sweet dabba to the manager with waste paper inside.

                        Do this only after completion of the transfer and closure of everything in the mentioned bank. A sweet box to the manager’s manager will also do the trick.

                          File a case with consumer portal gov,present all the evidences of balance and their lies,they will come begging at your feet

                            File a complaint with the Ombudsman, get them to fix your CIBIL and then move the loan to another bank.

                              Write a complaint to the regional manager the details of which will be available on the information board installed in the bank.if they don’t budge register a complaint in RBI ombudsman

                                GET your loan transferred and your all account closed, that’s the best action you can take. Also file a complaint with RBI ombudsman.
