I really don’t know what to do anymore regarding my land issue in Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur.

My family built our house around 2000 and we have been living here since then. Recently NTPC started claiming that some part of the land belongs to them. I honestly don’t know whether they are fully right or not, so I applied for official land measurement (mapi) to get proper clarity.

I paid around ₹1000 government fee and waited for the date. When the officials came, instead of properly measuring the land, they just said “NTPC is right” and were about to leave. I was shocked because I applied for land measurement, not for someone to just verbally decide everything in 2 minutes.

After I insisted, the officer said they need NTPC map first. But nobody informed me earlier that I had to arrange some NTPC map. If this map was so important, why didn’t they tell me before the measurement date? Also I feel if it’s an NTPC land issue, the office should already have access to those records.

Still, I said okay, I’ll arrange the map. I requested another date for measurement, but the officer refused and said my date is over and they won’t give another one.

Then I went to the CO office, but the CO was not there, which honestly feels very normal in government offices now.

I have now filed a BPGRS/Lok Shikayat complaint and got a hearing date, but I still feel confused and stressed about what will happen next.

Has anyone dealt with NTPC land issues or Bihar land measurement problems before? Any genuine advice would really help.

this sounds frustrating because you were not even refusing measurement you were actually the one asking for clarity and instead it turned into a verbal conclusion without proper process the part that usually matters most in these situations is whether there is any official measurement record or report showing what exactly was checked because later everyone remembers events differently also once large entities like ntpc get involved people often feel pressured before the actual records are even examined properly have you collected all your old land papers tax receipts and any documents showing continuous possession of the house since 2000 before the hearing date comes up
