February 6, 2025 at 10:33 amI need some advice on the use of UCC Uttarakhand Marriage certificate application (https://ucc.uk.gov.in/portal/service-details/6628e978cb0f60d283c33511) . I m the bridegroom, a foreign national, and my fiance is Indian and resident of Uttarakhand. We are planning on getting married in Uttarakhand. I am a Buddhist and she is a Hindu, so we can marry under the Hindu marriage act. I was wondering if we would be able to get the Tatkal service for marriage certificate on the UCC Uttarakhand website. -

February 6, 2025 at 10:47 amFor marriage registration under Hindu marriage act, you need to first get married in a Hindu/Buddhist ceremony. Then submit the application for registration along with proof of marriage (usually wedding photo , wedding invitation or temple certificate)-

February 6, 2025 at 6:39 pmI believe that a foreigner can marry and register under Hindu marriage act as long as you both are either Hindu/Buddhist / jain / Sikh and get married in a religious ceremony. It even says online on the application form that foreign nationals need to submit their passport as ID proof.
