March 21, 2025 at 6:22 amI ordered food in train via swiggy app. They have started providing service where you can order from train and they deliver food in train completely aware of they are delivering in train.
So I received food in packets , not a single plate. How am I supposed to eat it in train without any plate. Just sabji packet.
I called swiggy and as always they say they can’t do anything as it was restaurent’s resplonsibility. It happened with me many times that they don’t do anything just put blame on restaurant. This time I am too frustrated and don’t want to let them go without any consequences .
What are my options here? -

March 21, 2025 at 6:30 amBhai, when you order, put the request in the special instrcutions. Just mention please provide paper plates or something like that. It is that simple. If you don’t have plates, just ask for it beforehand. They will do it. The restaurant doesn’t have to provide you plates and stuff, I guess. I mean I don’t think there’s any rules as such.Don’t waste your time.

OP
March 21, 2025 at 6:33 amBhai swiggy is providing food delivery service in train. Don’t you think it understood that customer doesn’t have any plates with him/her. Shouldn’t swiggy train every concerned person with the service before starting the service. I am asking can I file consumer complain?-

March 21, 2025 at 8:21 amSwiggy is not obligated to send plates neither is the restaurant. If you require it all you got to do is put a note in special instructions & if the restaurant can accommodate then they will fulfill.
Also, OP since this has happened multiple times it should be your responsibility as a safe measure to carry some disposable.
Stick to ordering burgers, rolls or sandwiches which are easier to eat in train when you are aware how the packaging comes for foods that are gravies or rice
