Our rented vehicle got stolen in Goa and we also lost our key. It was rented from the hotel. I filed a complaint as well. Can someone please guide further?

ADVOCATE HERE. Read your liability on the agreement you signed before renting the scooter. 99% chance is that you are liable as per the same. However, upon lodging of FIR (not complaint), you should get insurance company involved and let that sit for a while. 100% chance that company will refuse to pay, but hey, let’s hope for the best. It might all be a scam in fact, that owner himself got the scooty stolen to get money from you. Common in Goa.

I have read this scam most likely the owner of the scooter has only taken it. Report it to the police
