Parking Dispute With Neighbour – Lawyers Please Advise

My neighbour has extended their external facade by 6 feet which is against the permissible limit of 3ft. Now, since they have blocked 25% of the road, they park their 2 wheelers infront of my house. I have asked them multiple times to park their vehicles infront of their house, but they provide the justification that road is for public use and we will park wherever we want to park. I’m feeling helpless here as this left us with no space to park our vehicles infront of our house while posing safety risk as unknown vehicles being parked infront of our house. I thought of filing complaint with DC office, but they told that road is for public use, we can only ask them but can’t force them to not park their vehicle infront of your house.

**Can any lawyer, please advise a solution on how to get this resolved.**

I’m kinda avoiding to get into direct fight with my neighbour. Hence, looking for a solution to kill the snake without breaking the stick

file a complain for the illegal construction, and obstructing the road by parking the vehicles, if your traffic police has provision for you to upload the pic and fine them accordingly, start taking pics so that fines are levied on them for obstructing traffic,

You have to fight for it. Also if it is illegal then you can complain but the problem is the municipalities official take bribes and delay any action. A better option is to park your vehicle first and stop them

There are cctv cameras installed everywhere. Kids shall get into trouble. Not a good idea

If there are no CCTV cameras around, damage their vehicle if they park in your area. Taking legal recourse could be very time & resource consuming, and totally not worth the effort.

They’re right. The road is for public use. Park outside their house from now onwards and install a dash cam and cctv in your house.
