Passport Father Name Spelling Mistake Hassle

hello, my father’s passport has incorrect father name. We don’t have any documents of grandfather who passed away 40-50 years ago. How to correct this? passport seva guys told to correct on adhaar but adhaar people not allowing to do so! what should I do?

passport- father name : Raj Kumar
adhaar- father’s correct name : Raj Kumaar Santoshi

Lawyer here.

You can get a one and the same certificate certifying that both the names are of the same person. It should be an affidavit and must be attested by a notary advocate. Go meet a notary advocate and he will guide you regarding this.

One and the same certificate. Tell the notary advocate the query you just posted and he will know what to do.

Just confirm with the passport authorities also whether this much would be enough.
