So, my grandfather’s passport was lost like 20 years ago, and he last traveled in 1991. Now he doesn’t remember the passport number as well.

And at that time, he didn’t file an FIR or anything that will now prove that its lost. Whats the procedure now for a reissue/fresh passport?

I want to apply for reissue of passport, but without the passport number I believe I will not be able to do so.

Is there a way to retrieve the old records?
Should I apply for Fresh issue of Passport?

Or is there any other way?

How much time does the entire process take btw?

Go to one of those agency’s opposite Lalbagh passport office and find out
