Passport with a criminal case

There is criminal case pending against me where the police had filled the closure report clearing my name. The opposing part filled a writ petition asking for re investigation. This was 2 years ago and police hasn’t done anything yet.

I had applied for a passport and had declared that a criminal case was pending against me.
The passport office asked for an NOC from a the court. Which my lawyer said won’t be applicable as matter is not in court now but with police. Police is not giving certified copy of closure report …
Where do I go to get an NOC??? For the passport???

You didn’t have to declared as the police generally don’t check your name in system just grease their hands

Jis police station mai case hua tha tumhare khilaaf ya phir jaha tumhara case chala tha jis court mai vaha se certified copy nikal walo
