March 20, 2025 at 3:11 pmHello, I am 26M. Many years ago. 2012-2013 my uncle(chacha) was died. He was run security guard agency. He sell off their business to other person. He also make my father partner of his agency. At that time making a partner was compulsory( I don’t know). Today 20 march 2025 we recieved show cause notice for not arrest. In this notice Provident fund was not paid to some employee of agency. Fund should be paid in 2013. Now it is combined of interest plus penalty with 1,83,000 Rs. Two notice was recieved one of my uncle name and other of my father name. My father didn’t receive any kind of income or profit from this agency. Only my uncle run it alone. Now he is died. What necessary step my father have to take for solve this issue. Please advice. -

March 20, 2025 at 5:50 pmThe agency must have been a partnership, and it either ended when the business was closed or your uncle died (whichever was earlier), but labour laws can enable persons to sue even after that.
Read the notice carefully, which authority has sent it and consult a local lawyer based on that.
